20 Fun Things To Do This Fall in DFW

Fall 2025 in DFW is full of music, food, shows, and plenty of ways to make lasting memories with your favorite people. If I missed something you'd like to recommend, please drop it in the comments—I’d love to check it out!

Here are 20 evens that I thought looked like great fun. From Broadway to PlantCon and Cat Shows, there's truly something for everyone this Fall. The $'s at the end of each description hint towards the amount of funds required to have a good time. Also, the list is in order by date. Hope to see you there!

1. Louder Than Stigma Fest

7. Texas State Fair

8. Dark Hour Haunted House

Get a dark thrill at the the most immersive haunted house in the US, Dark Hour Haunted House, in Plano, TX, opening in September (For ages 10+). $$

9. Movies on Main

Bring a blanket and chairs to enjoy a movie and food vendors on the lawn among neighbors at Movies on Main, every Friday night in September in Irving, TX. free

Fall in love with your next green baby at PlantCon Dallas 2025 at Dallas Market Hall in Dallas, TX, Saturday & Sunday, October 18th - 19th. $$$

15. Trick or Treating in the Park

Bring the whole family for candy, costume contests, food trucks, and buckets of fun. Including a 7 pm showing of Wicked on the green for Trick of Treating in the Park at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas, TX, Saturday, October 25th. free

16. Dallas Country Music Festival

Enjoy art, culture, food, drinks and a major line up of country, blues, and red dirt at the Dallas Country Music Festival in Grapevine-Flower Mound. You'll even get free parking! On Saturday, November 15th. $

17. Texas Taco Festival

They call it Taco Heaven. Could it be? I plan to find out! Don't miss the Texas Taco Festival to enjoy margarita bars, tequila flights, beer, live bands, DJs, Lucha Libre wrestling, and fun zones for the kids in Arlington, TX, Saturday, November 1st. $ - $$$

18. The Outsiders on Broadway

Earn bragging rights for life and go see the Tony Award Winner for Best Musical, The Outsiders on Broadway in Dallas, TX at the Music Hall in Fair Park on November 4th - 16th. $$ - $$$$

19. Storytellers at The Kessler

Join a unique storytelling event where you can participate by suggesting topics! Kessler Theatre's Creative Director, Jeff Liles, will weave patron's ideas into his tales about the rich history and vibrant present of the Dallas music community. Go experience Storytellers at The Kessler, in Dallas, TX on Saturday, November 15th. $$ - $$$$

20. Dallas Zoo Lights

Be dazzled by lights, music, festive fun and surprises when you visit the magical Dallas Zoo Lights display. Dates to be announced this Fall and you can sign up for a reminder on their website.

There you have it! I can't decide which ones my favorite, but I really wanna see that cat show. 😂 One thing us Texans will always do is take full advantage of our sweater weather.
