For the first time in our family’s decade-long adventure, the Davies crew pulled off a Christmas photo shoot in matching pajamas! 🎉 And, believe it or not, we almost finished it in time for Christmas! Yet, it went out a bit after New Year’s—still scratching our heads over how everyone else does it. It felt good to gift everyone with a magnetic calendar in the mailer. After all, who doesn't love a calendar?!
As the years roll by, I find myself cherishing the wonderful relationships I've fostered more and more. I look back fondly, but with regret, at the dear friends I've lost touch with. One of the Davies family initiatives for 2025 is to foster deeper relationships by diving back into our authentic connections and nurturing the bonds that bring support and joy to our lives. (If you're thinking "why didn't I get mine in the mail?" Please contact me so I can mail yours.)
So this year I'm finally doing something I've wanted to do since I was a child. Drum roll! A family (snail-mail) newsletter! snort 🤓 To our loved ones on our mailing list, get ready for the Davies Tribune. I'm laughing-- should we call it that? Seriously though, what should we call it?
This will be lots of fun, but I know we can't stop with paper greetings and updates. We must get out and get together more in person. I have some ideas and I believe God will make a way for us to be together more going forward. Difficult truth, the world can be a dark place. I believe it's through the love God places in our hearts, one-to-another, that we find the strength to overcome troubling times. I want to see what love and community are capable of doing in me and my family's life.
If you're here and you've read this far, I thank you. Can you relate with these feelings? I hope you'll comment below and share some thoughts about what community and connection have meant to you.
Lookout for more from the Davies family. God bless you friend.
